We have some happy news to share. At the Best of Cayman Islands 2026 awards, presented on August 26, Capt. Marvin's Watersports won gold in all three of our categories: Watersports, Fishing Charter and Boat Tour Company.
Best of Cayman Islands is a yearly contest where the winners are nominated and voted for by the public. That makes these awards special to us, because they come from the people we take out on the water. Thank you to everyone who nominated us and voted for us.
Three years in a row
This is the third year in a row that Capt. Marvin's has been named a winner in all three categories:
- 2024: Gold in Watersports, Fishing Charter and Boat Tour Company
- 2025: Gold in Fishing Charter and Boat Tour Company, Silver in Watersports
- 2026: Gold in Watersports, Fishing Charter and Boat Tour Company
What we won for
Watersports. Our Stingray City tours take you out to the sandbar to swim with the stingrays, with snorkel stops at the Coral Gardens and the Barrier Reef and a visit with the starfish on some trips.
Fishing Charter. Our Grand Cayman fishing charters take you fishing with our captains and crew.
Boat Tour Company. Every trip we run, from our daily tours to private boat charters and our nights on the bioluminescent bay.
Where it started
Capt. Marvin Ebanks started our company in Grand Cayman in 1951, and he was the first to bring visitors to snorkel with the stingrays at the Stingray City sandbar. 75 years later, our captains and crew still take guests out on the same water. You can read the whole story on our About page.
